Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) – Information Requests Policy

Last updated: 25 August 2025 • Teaching Tomorrow

This policy explains how candidates supplied by Teaching Tomorrow can raise a query about AWR fair treatment, and how we will investigate and respond — including timescales.

1) Purpose

We ensure all agency workers are treated fairly under the Agency Workers Regulations 2010 (AWR). This procedure gives a clear route for raising concerns and receiving timely outcomes.

2) Candidate Rights under AWR

  • From day one: access to on-site facilities and job vacancy information.
  • After 12 weeks on the same assignment: equal pay, annual leave, rest breaks, and other basic terms as if directly employed.

3) How to Raise an AWR Query

You can contact us via:

  • Email: awrrequests@teachingtomorrow.co.uk
  • Post: Compliance Team, Teaching Tomorrow, Colworth House, Colworth Science Park, Sharnbrook, MK44 1LZ
  • Phone: 01234 953 013 (ask for a Director)

Please include: full name, assignment details, and the nature of your concern.

4) Response Timescales

Acknowledgement: within 2 working days
Initial Review: response or info request within 5 working days
Full Investigation & Outcome: within 20 working days
Extensions: if extra time is needed, we’ll update you with new timescales

5) Resolution & Escalation

  • If upheld, corrective action will be implemented promptly.
  • If not upheld, you’ll receive a full written explanation.
  • You may escalate to the Managing Director; final review within 10 working days.

6) Records & 7) Review

All AWR queries are logged and retained for 12 months. Policy reviewed annually or sooner if legislation changes.
